Organize your garden space!
What elements contribute to the whole that we call a "beautiful garden"? Multicolored plant compositions, well-kept flower beds, trimmed lawns, thoughtfully marked alleys and paths, wooden gazebos. But is that all? Even the most spectacular effect can be spoiled by carelessly placed wood in the corner under a makeshift roof or scattered tools and toys. To organize the space around the house, it is worth building a tool shed or a tool house with a woodshed. Today, such buildings, apart from their practical function, can also become an interesting element of garden architecture.
Tool house large or small?
– It is obvious that the larger the tool shed or tool house, the more equipment it can accommodate. At the purchase stage, it is worth considering carefully what the purpose of the house will be. If we plan to create a small workshop in it, it is obvious that it will have to be larger and higher than a typical wooden shed intended only for storing gardening equipment - suggests Mariusz Górniak from Zakład Stolarski Miedziński, which, in addition to gazebos, summer houses, year-round and residential houses and a wide range of wooden garden architecture, also offers tool houses, utility houses, woodsheds and wooden sheds.
If we are planning a wooden shed whose main purpose is to store tools such as shovels, rakes, garden hoses, most of which can be hung on the wall, then a small house measuring 3x2 m with one window - the basic model from the Miedziński company - will be enough.
If, on the other hand, we plan to store small tools, gardening equipment or garden furniture in the farm house, or even arrange a DIY space in it, larger buildings, e.g. 4x4 mm in size, with two window openings that will perfectly illuminate the interior will be better.
– Such a farm house can be freely adapted to your own needs and preferences. There are four colors of shingles and various colors of impregnations to choose from, which gives a lot of freedom in creating the visual side of the project - emphasizes Mariusz Górniak.
Wooden shed – why is it worth it?
There are many tool houses available on the market, made using different technologies and using different materials. However, while a plastic or metal house does not always fit harmoniously into the style of the garden, wooden houses do not pose any difficulties. Wood, as a natural building material, fits perfectly into the garden space, which is not disturbed by the artificiality of the material used to build it.
– In our company, we most often use relatively inexpensive but very durable species, such as pine or spruce, to build tool houses. The wood is dried, planed on four sides and impregnated, so it will last for many years - says Mariusz Górniak.
The undoubted advantage of farm houses made of wood is the great freedom of arrangement. Even if we did not plan the space inside well at the investment implementation stage, we can easily hang additional shelves or hooks there later. And if, over time, we no longer like the color of the wooden shed, it can be easily repainted in any color.
Therefore, when choosing a tool shed, it is worth considering comfort of use as well as functional considerations. Let's pay attention to the care of workmanship, the type of materials used and the processing the raw material has undergone.
– It is also important that the roof of the tool shed or farm house has a slope, which will prevent water from accumulating. It is equally important to equip the building with windows that will not only illuminate the space, but also serve as ventilation, says Mariusz Górniak.
Zakład Stolarski Miedziński also offers models of wooden sheds that look like small summer houses. There are also farmhouses available with a small terrace added, which can become a perfect place to spend rainy, warm days.
Tool house with a woodshed
In addition to gardening tools and equipment, which are scattered carelessly around the garden and create the impression of mess, storing firewood is also often a problem. And it's not just about garden clutter, because logs placed in random places look unsightly and spoil the impression of harmony. Firewood must also be properly stored, stored in sunny and airy places. When placed in one place, it can be an additional decorative element in the garden thanks to its pleasant colors and warm impression.
Zakład Stolarski Miedziński offers a wide range of woodsheds, including both traditional rectangular models and more unusual designs, e.g. circular ones.
A woodshed carefully made of impregnated wood can also become a decorative element, serving, for example, as a pergola for climbing plants or an original optical partition that protects against prying eyes and shields from the wind. The Miedziński company offers its customers the opportunity to add a woodshed to each of the tool houses it produces.
