A small wooden house, great potential

For many of us - residents of crowded agglomerations - a wooden summer house is the fulfillment of the dream of having our own home in the bosom of nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. When wondering whether this is a good idea, it is worth bearing in mind the fact that in Poland, where this form of recreation is very popular, investing in a wooden house (one-story or two-story) is very profitable. This is a great way to invest capital, as well as to earn additional earnings if one summer we go on a long trip and rent the house to holidaymakers.

A one-story or two-story wooden house?

Each of us has our own favorite style of vacation: some like distant and exotic journeys, others like trips to the most beautiful corners of Poland. For some, there is no holiday without a carefree journey into the unknown, without a plan or booked accommodation, for others, only organized trips are possible, with the program finalized many months before the trip. What connects us? There is certainly no person among us who would not like one form of relaxation: in a wooden summer house, in peace and close to nature. For some people, it is even the only way to rest and gain strength for the next months of work. Before we decide to invest money in a house, it is worth considering how often we will use it and for what purpose. If we are lovers of resting outdoors and bonfires lasting until dawn, a small wooden house up to 35 m² or a single-story summer house will be suitable, which will be used more for sleeping than for spending time inside.

However, if we like to extend the holiday season until early autumn, and we have a large family, it is worth considering a larger house (e.g. with a first floor) with several rooms and additional insulation with mineral wool, which will ensure a comfortable stay even when it gets cold outside.
Reputable companies offering ready-made summer houses usually offer a wide range of proposals that meet various requirements.
– Of course, the offer of ready-made summer houses does not mean that we do not respond to very specific customer requirements. Many of the houses we make are made to order. When choosing a single-story or two-story summer house made of wood, remember that this beautiful and natural material must be properly protected against weather conditions and pests. Therefore, at Miedziński, the wood is dried in an automatic dryer that holds 150 m³ of raw material, and its subsequent processing on modern four-sided planing machines makes it more resistant to fire.

How much does a holiday home cost?

When deciding to buy a summer house, we must, of course, take into account our financial possibilities, and the costs usually amount to several dozen thousand zlotys.
– The final price depends on what we choose. Ready-made summer houses for plots vary in terms of area and architecture. Wooden houses up to 35 m² are very popular, mainly as single-story summer houses, but they are also available in the "story" version. They can have one or several rooms and be equipped with an elegant terrace - says Mariusz Górniak.

One of the most popular houses offered by Zakład Stolarski Miedziński is the Elixir 2 model, with a usable area of 26 m², for which the basic version costs PLN 31,600. This amount must include the costs of delivery and installation (unless we decide to do it ourselves). Another interesting proposition is the Juhas model, referring to the popular highlander style, with a usable area of 35 m².

Lovers of spending summer evenings outdoors most often choose the Brzoza 3 house, with a usable area of less than 20 m² and a large, covered terrace, which ensures comfortable relaxation even when it rains. In turn, the small wooden house Grzybek is a model for those who need a small balcony on the first floor. A variant that combines both previously mentioned solutions is the ready-made Brzoza 4 summer house, equipped with both a spacious terrace with a roof and a balcony on the first floor.
– Each house is, of course, tailored to the customer's requirements. This applies to the choice of roof covering (roof felt, shingles, metal roofing tiles), the color of the impregnation, the possibility of insulation or the color of the PVC veneer. The delivery time also depends on the selected options and the size of the house, but it never exceeds 3 months from the order - sums up Mariusz Górniak.
